What data we collect
When you use Thimelo, we collect the following information to provide the service:
- Name — your first and last name for your profile and to personalise your experience.
- Email address — used to sign in and send you notifications.
- Birthday — yours and those of the people you add, so we can send timely reminders.
- Profile photo — optionally uploaded by you to identify yourself within circles and groups.
- People, events, and reminders — the content you create inside the app.
How we use your data
We use the information we collect only to operate and improve Thimelo:
- To personalise your dashboard and show you upcoming birthdays and events.
- To send birthday reminders and event notifications.
- To enable shared features like circles, wishlists, and group coordination.
- To improve the app based on how features are used.
We do not use your data for advertising or any purpose unrelated to operating Thimelo.
We do not sell your data
We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Your data belongs to you.
Data sharing
We share data only with the infrastructure providers required to run the service (such as our database and authentication provider). These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
Within the app, information you share with a circle (such as your name and birthday) is visible to other members of that circle — only if you have joined it voluntarily.
Your rights
You are in control of your data. At any time you can:
- Update or correct your profile information inside the app.
- Delete your account and all associated data permanently. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you by contacting us.
To delete your account, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account inside the app.
Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
Children's privacy
Thimelo is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Thimelo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
